As of Dec 22, 2021, the BC government has issued a mandate for participants of indoor activities to present a vaccination card. We will require a vaccination card on the first day of classes If you do not have a vaccination card, you may join our online classes.
We are currently offering online classes and in-person classes. Please see our calendar to see specific dates for in-person courses and for online courses. We have developed a COVID-19 Safety Plan that outlines the policies, guidelines, and procedures we have put in place to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
Students must complete a self-assessment before coming to class.
Classes will be scheduled so there is a 10 minute gap between classes. To avoid overlapping students waiting, we ask students to remain outside the premises until their scheduled course time and leave the classroom as soon as the class is finished.
To reduce the risk of surface transmission, we have removed the tables in the classrooms and we will change our classroom configuration to maintain a safe distance between students.
We have established and posted an occupancy limit for our classrooms to maintain a safe distance between students and instructors. Class sizes will be reduced significantly therefore, we have updated our registration policy.
Instructors will be provided with a face shield and all students are required to bring and wear masks.
Hand sanitizers will be provided in each classroom. We strongly recommend all students to wash their hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer upon entering our facilities.
All surfaces will be disinfected constantly between classes. No food and drinks will be allowed in the classrooms. Students must bring their own pencils/pens and course materials.
Signage will be posted and areas on the floor will be marked off indicating waiting areas where physical distancing requirements of at least 2 metres can be maintained.
Signage with designated entry and exit ways will be posted to prevent students and others from coming into proximity with one another
Signage will be posted indicating that students, staff, or visitors exhibiting COVID-like symptoms are not allowed to enter the office building.
Building entry door, washrooms and classrooms doors will be left open during class time to eliminate contact with door handles.
Single-person access if entry into a constricted area will be required.
If a student shows any symptoms of COVID-19 we ask them to cancel their enrollment and not to come to class. Please do a self-assesment if you are not sure. Students will be reminded of this policy when they arrive to class.
Students should arrive alone if possible (i.e., no children, friends or family accompaniment allowed). Students must wash their hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer upon entering our facilities.
Anyone who has had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 10 days must not attend class. Symptoms include fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and new muscle aches or headache.
Anyone directed by Public Health to self-isolate must not attend class.
Anyone who has arrived from outside of Canada or who has had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case must not attend class and must self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms.
