This level is designed for students who are studying Spanish for the first time. This twice a week course will help you create a solid foundation in Spanish, providing the stepping stones of Spanish grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and every-day usage. By the end of this course, students will feel comfortable asking and answering simple questions, expressing their feelings, and hold simple conversations in present tense.
This level is designed for students who have completed beginner A twice a week or the equivalent according to our placement test. Students will continue to build their oral, written and listening skills while expanding their vocabulary and developing more confidence and fluency. By the end of the course students will have a strong vocabulary foundation, a solid grammatical and contextual base, and will be able to communicate effectively in common situations using regular and irregular verbs in the present and progressive present tense, as well and the simple future tense.
These courses combine a once a week comprehention course with a conversation class offered on a second weekly session. Students will have the opportunity to apply what they learn in the comprehensive class, and put into practice in a conversation session, allowing them to develop their listening and conversational skills.
This course is tailored to those who already have a basic knowledge in the language, either from travelling or from previous studies, and would like an opportunity to practice their conversation skills and improve on what they already know. Using a more empirical approach, an instructor will facilitate situations that emulate real and casual conversations as if they were happening in a Spanish-speaking country.
